Leadership Team

 Chase Behringer - CMB Advisors

Chase Behringer is the Founder of Silicon Valley Social Value (SVSV), a boutique consulting firm that seeks to scale the reach of innovative non-profit start-ups and modernize the practices of legacy organizations. To face the next generation of social sector challenges and opportunities, Chase advocates that social sector leaders think like entrepreneurs. Her work is powered by heavy analytics and Silicon Valley creativity. All of Chase's clients have signed-up for follow-up work.

Before founding SVSV, Chase was on the management team at The Bridgespan Group (incubated by Bain & Company), the leading consultancy for global foundations and nonprofit organizations. In addition, she was a member of the leadership team at Samahope (incubated by Samasource), an award-winning social enterprise acquired by Johnson & Johnson. She has also worked as a management consultant in the for-profit sector serving venture capital and insurance clients.

Chase is particularly passionate about the future of philanthropy, including topics such as entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and mergers/acquisitions. In her spare time, you can find Chase playing soccer with her children and training her German Shepherd dog. She holds a BA  from Columbia University and an MBA from MIT, and serves on the Boards of multiple non-profit organizations.

What Folks are saying

Chase's ability to analyze vast amounts of industry data and synthesize many disparate senior manager and board member viewpoints into a compelling strategic "refresh" analysis was invaluable. The work she delivered enabled the senior leadership team at Pathfinder to prioritize resource allocation and ROI decisions that are most likely to drive growth moving forward. She "gets it" incredibly fast and then turns things around very quickly at a very high standard of quality and insight. I would highly recommend Chase.

Vice President, Pathfinder International

Chase was our thought-partner across the strategy, technology, and execution of CaringCrowd, J&J’s unique crowdfunding platform to benefit non-profits working on public health projects. Working with Chase, our diverse team grew CaringCrowd from concept to reality and have exceeded expectations. She is results-driven with the highest standards. More importantly, she has a deep passion for helping out the scores of unsung heroes, the on-the-ground caregivers themselves, who work tirelessly and selflessly to make the world a better place. I would highly recommend working with Chase.

At Samahope, Chase served as an invaluable leader on business development and strategy. She formed the game plan for our major merger with Johnson and Johnson. Her negotiation skills are remarkable. Also, she is comfortable getting her hands dirty and executing a ton of small details. This is rare. Chase would be a great asset to any company.

Chase is one of those exceptional people who you feel lucky to have worked with. She is uncompromisingly focused on impact and what is best for the client. At Bridgespan, She was a core member of the Effective Philanthropy team, working closely with founding partners to advise some of the organization's most elite clients over many consecutive cases. And to top it off, no matter how busy she was, she always took the time to mentor younger colleagues or reach out to anyone on the team who seemed like they needed extra help.
